📢 New for 2026/27 – We’re using Spond

For the 2026/27 season, Great Wakering Colts YFC will be using Spond Club to manage:

  • Player registration
  • Membership payments
  • Team communication
  • Fixtures, training and availability

✅ Why we’re moving to Spond

Using Spond helps improve the experience for both parents and volunteers:

  • All-in-one system – everything in one place (no separate apps or emails)
  • Secure payments – no cash handling, all payments tracked automatically
  • Better communication – instant updates for training, matches and club news
  • Less admin – reduces workload for volunteer coaches and club officials
  • Accurate records – ensures FA, safeguarding and emergency details stay up to date

📝 How Registration Works This Season

✅ If your team already uses Spond

  • The club will import your existing team and contacts
  • You will receive a registration request directly in the Spond app
  • Simply complete the short form (only new or required information)

✅ If your team is new to Spond

  1. Click the registration link below to complete the online form
  2. We will review your registration and assign your child to the correct team
  3. You will receive an email confirming we’ve received your application (check email junk folder)

💳 After You Register

Step 1 – Provide Player Details (Email Reply Required)

You will receive a confirmation email (check junk folder) asking you to reply with:

  • A clear passport-style photo (head and shoulders, plain background preferred)
  • Proof of ID (new players only, e.g. passport)

Step 2 – Payment Request

Once your registration has been checked:

  • A payment request will be sent via Spond
  • Payment must be completed within 7 days of receiving the request

Step 3 – Registration Approval

Once we have:

  • ✅ Completed registration
  • ✅ Payment received
  • ✅ Player photo (and ID if required)

We will:

  • Approve the registration
  • Add your child to their team squad (Spond group)
  • Send a final confirmation email

✅ Final Confirmation

You will receive confirmation that:

  • Your child’s place is secured
  • They have been added to their team in Spond

Your team manager will then use Spond to share:

  • Training details
  • Fixtures
  • Team updates

👉 Please also upload your child’s profile photo in the app using the same image provided during registration.

💷 Registration Fees 2026/27

  • £145 – Youth (11v11)
  • £140 – Youth (9v9)
  • £135 – Mini (5v5 & 7v7)

Payments can be made:

  • In full, or
  • By instalments (completed by 1st September 2026)

A £1 admin fee applies to card payments.

⚠️ Important Information

  • All players must complete registration before joining a team
  • FA FAN numbers are required for both players and parents/guardians
  • Registrations are only confirmed once payment and documents are received
  • Players will not be added to teams until registration is complete
